Accelerometers and Accelerometer Calibrators
Accelerometers are calibrated back-to-back with a reference accelerometer whose sensitivity is regularly calibrated by a UKAS-accredited laboratory. The calibration provides a measurement of sensitivity at third octave intervals from 5Hz to 3150Hz in graphic and numeric format, and the Calibration Certificate provides the average sensitivity across the frequency range 5Hz to 1kHz. Uncertainties of measurement are properly evaluated for each calibration and all measurements are fully traceable. Single-axis accelerometers and tri-axial accelerometers of any type (charge sensitivity, voltage sensitivity, or ICP), including seat-pad accelerometers, can be calibrated.
Accelerometer Calibration Exciters can be calibrated by reference to a traceable accelerometer with UKAS-accredited calibration.
